What this actually is

The programme

The property describes the Detox Medical Check as comprehensive preventative examinations with no wait for an appointment, with maximum privacy and discretion. The week includes a blood laboratory check with hormone status, an oxidative stress test, urinalysis, a stool test, spirometry, a physiotherapeutic assessment, abdominal, vascular, thyroid and heart ultrasound, and resting and exercise ECG.

Around the examinations sit the basic services included in every programme: daily Kneipp treatments, a personal Modern Mayr Cuisine diet plan, group exercise, relaxation and mental coaching, lectures, and use of the pool, saunas and panoramic gym. Five 50-minute full body massages are included, and further examinations can be added on request.

On its blog the property says the gut sits at the heart of the check, and that the result is meant as a personal plan for preventive health rather than a medical report alone. Its guest magazine ParkZeit describes annual check-ups as playing a key role for longevity. Park Igls stands on a sunny plateau at about 900 metres above sea level, above Innsbruck, the property says.

Is this your kind of stay?

Who it may suit, and when to consider another option

Use both columns as travel-planning guidance. Final medical suitability must be discussed with your own doctor and the qualified team at the property.

Consider this if

  • People wanting a preventative health check — the property files this programme under 'check my health'
  • Anyone wanting heart, abdominal and thyroid checks in one place — the property says all under one roof
  • Guests interested in Modern Mayr Medicine alongside diagnostics

Consider another option if

  • Anyone under 16 — the property welcomes guests aged 16 and above, as its cuisine and therapy programme are not designed for children
  • Booking on arrival — the property says the Detox Medical Check must be booked in advance

Park Igls

A Modern Mayr Medicine house above Innsbruck that calls itself a 'Medical Spa Resort' and says it is state-recognised as a certified medical services provider.

The FAQ says the medical department is closed from Saturday noon to 7.30 a.m. Monday, so a Saturday arrival sees a doctor on Monday at the earliest. Cancelling in the last week before arrival costs 100% of booked services, and the FAQ says there is no refund for leaving early.

Who looks after you

Supervision, by qualification and number

Clinical and practitioner teams are described by role and qualification rather than by individual name, because staffing changes. The property will confirm the current team and explain how practitioners are assigned before or on arrival.

Clinical supervision
The property says all its programmes are guided by doctors who are also certified Mayr doctors with expertise in nutritional medicine, and that the state recognises it as a certified medical services provider.
The team around you
The property lists Mayr Diploma doctors, health psychologists, physiotherapists, sports scientists, therapists and masseurs, plus consultant radiologists and a cardiologist.
Consultations
Three examinations — a 30-minute initial health check, a 20-minute one with manual abdominal treatment and a 30-minute final one.
Your call with us is for travel planning. We can help compare the programme, destination, length, season and journey logistics. Medical questions belong with your own doctor and the qualified practitioners at the property.

Questions

Before you ask

Which day should I arrive?
The property says any day is possible but recommends Sunday, when guests are welcomed at 5.30 pm with a drink, a tour and a welcome dinner. Its medical department is closed from 12 noon on Saturday until 7.30 am on Monday, so a Saturday arrival means the first doctor’s consultation is on Monday morning at the earliest.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. The property says the Detox Medical Check is only available when booked in advance.
How long does the property recommend staying?
Its FAQ recommends at least 10 to 14 days with a week of follow-up at home; elsewhere it recommends at least two weeks, ideally three, and says even one week brings a noticeable improvement. The Detox Medical Check itself is priced for one week, and the programme page invites requests for an individual length of stay.
Will health insurance pay?
The property says private health insurers normally cover at least part of the cost, depending on the policy. It recommends bringing a prescription from your family doctor, and issues an invoice for the stay to submit to your insurer.
Which medical documents should I bring?
The property says guests are welcome to bring records from previous examinations or surgeries.
Can a companion come without taking part?
Yes. The property recommends a companion who does not join the therapy programme books the basic services only, at €133 per day per person on top of the room rate.
Is food included?
Breakfast is in the room rate; lunch and dinner on Modern Mayr Cuisine are part of the basic services included in every programme. The property says its kitchen caters for intolerances, allergies and special diets.
Can the check help with weight loss?
The property’s blog says the check can be an entry point into sustainable weight loss through metabolic regulation, digestive relief and tailored nutrition. On the Mayr cure more generally, its FAQ calls weight loss a positive side effect rather than the aim.
What are the cancellation terms?
Free up to two weeks before arrival; 50% of booked services up to one week before; 100% in the last week. The FAQ says no discount or refund is given on packages and confirmed room reservations for early departure; elsewhere it says refunds cannot be given for special offers and fixed room reservations.
