What it is known for

Why this house has the reputation it has

  1. The homepage publishes the treatment day: yoga and meditation 07:00–08:00, therapy 09:00–12:00, the doctor from 14:30, a second therapy 15:00–18:00, evening yoga 18:15–19:15 and herbal medicine from 20:30.
  2. The What We Offer page lists a consultation with the resident doctor on arrival, treatments twice a day as prescribed, abdominal cleansing every 8th day or as the doctor recommends, and a diet chart on the last day.
  3. Meals are Keralan vegetarian and follow a diet plan the doctor prescribes for each guest’s dosha. The site says produce comes from its own organic farm, with five cows on site, though the Ayurveda page says it is grown in the surrounding area.
  4. The site tells a devotional founding story: an ancestral home turned into an Ayurvedic healing centre after the founder’s illness in 1989. Its own timeline dates the formal inauguration to November 1999.
  5. Three room types are published with sizes, from a 280 sq ft Standard Room to a 420 sq ft Garden Cottage. Rooms in a separate villa are described for a four-week Hatha yoga course of at most 10 participants.
