The short version
Who this house is for
Somebody who wants a yoga stay with an ocean in front of it and the Nicoya longevity story around it, and who is not looking for a clinic. It is the most relaxed house in this atlas and the least medical, and the page is clear about which of those it is.
The signature
Daily yoga at the centre of the Nosara community, paired with trips inland to the Blue Zone cantons.
The setting
The Nicoya peninsula, and what is practised here

These photographs show The Nicoya peninsula and the disciplines practised at this house. They are not photographs of the property — we would rather show you the place honestly than dress a stock picture up as a room you have not been sold.
What it is known for
Why this house has the reputation it has
- Sits at Playa Guiones, the centre of a surfing and yoga community that has been building since the 1990s — the teaching depth here is real and long-standing.
- Certified sustainable operation with its own organic garden, which in Guanacaste is a meaningful rather than decorative claim.
- Ninety minutes from the inland Blue Zone cantons, so a fortnight can genuinely combine the villages with a daily practice.
- Small enough that the yoga is the point rather than an amenity.
What we would tell you on the phone
Nosara is on the coast and the Blue Zone is inland — this is the base, not the phenomenon, and a hotel forty kilometres from the cantons cannot honestly sell you the longevity story. Come for the practice and the community, take a few days inland, and treat the demography as context rather than product.

Categories and names are as published by the property and are confirmed in writing at the quote. Where we would take a different room from the one the programme is quoted in, the note says so.
Wellness at Harmony Hotel
Who is actually here
Yoga faculty and spa therapists, with nutrition guidance built into the retreat programmes. There is no physician and no diagnosis, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
We do not publish clinicians' names anywhere on this site. They move, which makes a named page quietly untrue, and naming one invites you to book a person no house can promise will be on shift — assignment is made on arrival, from your examination. What is worth knowing is how many there are and what they hold.
What the building contains
- Two open-air yoga shalas
- Salt-water pool
- Spa treatment rooms
- Surf shop and board storage
- Juice bar
- Three hundred metres from Playa Guiones
At the table
Eating here
On a prescribed programme the food is part of the treatment rather than a choice — which is worth knowing before you arrive expecting a wine list.
- The Harmony Restaurant
Largely organic, much of it from the Nicoya peninsula itself — beans, maize, squash and fish. The Blue Zone diet as it is actually eaten rather than as it is packaged.
- The juice bar
Cold-pressed, and the cleanse programmes run through it.
